This Yamaha Blaster CDI is a high-performance part that is compatible with the 2003-2006 Yamaha Blaster.
This allows you to advance the timing more and extract more power, broadening the power band. The OEM curve is relatively flat. If you advance the stator 4 degrees, you'll see performance gains everywhere. If you advance the stator 6 degrees, you'll see performance gains in the low to mid rpm range, but might start knocking at high RPM. There are 2 solutions. Retard the stator timing, or swap out the ignition for something that can be advanced in the mid range but retard the timing where it's needed. The Nasty Fast Adjustable CDI is the easiest way to do this.
